MISSION

The word “beauty”
in Chinese embodies caring, giving, honesty and beautification of the human spirit. True to this spirit, we are dedicated to the betterment and advancement of women and children through education, health and cultural programs worldwide.

About US

中国美基金 (China Beauty Charity Fund or CBCF) was established in 2011 in honor of Yue-Sai Kan by the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation, one of the most important and trusted charitable foundations in China. The word "beauty" in Chinese embodies caring, giving, honesty, and beautification of the human spirit. True to this spirit, the CBCF is dedicated to the betterment and advancement of women and children through education, health and cultural programs worldwide. Since its establishment, the CBCF has raised millions of dollars to fund cleft lip and palate surgeries, provide free medical supplies to underserved regions in China, and award scholarships to students at the Beijing Film Academy, the Shanghai Theater Academy and Chinese students at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

The CBCF supports the following areas in general:

  1. International academic and cultural exchanges as they relate to the environment, health and education

  2. TV and Film productions and education in this area

  3. Education of the esthetics of beauty and the welfare of women and children

  4. Charitable projects for women and children, e.g. The Shanghai Soong Qing Ling Foundation's Safety for Mother and Child Program

  5. Finance other public welfare work which conforms to the aims of the CBCF as approved by the governing committee

Yue-Sai Kan China Beauty Charity Fund, a US charity, was formed in New York State to provide additional support to the CBCF, among others. This entity is qualified as 501 (c)(3) organization with the US Internal Revenue Service and is intended to give US donors a tax deduction for their contributions and will also provide funds to the CBCF, among others.
